Specialized advanced level course that covers the transition of carbonate sediments to carbonate rocks via diagenetic alterations. Special emphasis will placed on the creation and destruction of pore space in carbonate rocks and how that impacts key properties impacting pore volume, connectivity and subsurface fluid flow in aqufers and hydrocarbon reservoirs.
