Statistics (STAT)

The Statistics (STAT) program educates students to analyze and model complex real-world problems arising in modern statistical data science. Two degrees are offered: the MS degree (under either a thesis or a non-thesis option) and the PhD degree. Under the MS degree, there are two tracks: Statistical Science and Data Science. Moreover, the student in the MS program can choose either a thesis or a non-thesis option. Admission to one degree does not guarantee transfer to another. All students in the MS and PhD programs are guided by an Academic Advisor to develop their program of study.
