Numerical solution of systems of linear and nonlinear algebraic equations, interpolation, least squares, quadrature, optimization, nonlinear equations, approximation of solutions of ordinary and partial differential equations. Truncation error, numerical stability, stiffness, and operation and storage complexity of numerical algorithms.
