CS 247 Scientific Visualization
Recommended prerequisites: Linear algebra, basic calculus, C/C++ programming experience. Recommended additional prerequisites: AMCS/
CS 248 Computer Graphics,
CS 380 GPU and GPGPU Programming, OpenGL programming experience. This course covers the basics and applications of scientific visualization. It covers techniques for generating images and interactive visualizations of various types of experimentally measured, computer-generated (simulated) or gathered data. It covers grid structures, scalar field and volume visualization, vector field and flow visualization, and tensor field visualization. It covers applications in science, engineering and medicine.
