ECE 300 Advanced Topics in Integrated Photonics
In "Advanced Topics in Integrated Photonics," students will learn to:
1. Design and analyze integrated photonic circuits and systems, applying principles of light-matter interaction, waveguide optics, and photonic device physics.
2. Utilize simulation tools for photonic design, enhancing their problem-solving and technical skills.
3. Evaluate the performance of integrated photonic components and systems, preparing them for research and development roles in industry or academia.
Students will develop as scholars and future professionals by gaining hands-on experience in the latest photonic integration techniques and technologies, preparing them for leadership in the photonic revolution. The course will employ a blend of instructional methods, including lectures, laboratory sessions, project-based learning, and assessments such as design projects, simulations, and exams.
