CS 300 Computational Scientific Imaging

The course provides an introduction to problems in scientific imaging, starting from an understanding of imaging hardware and it limitations, to different imaging modalities including microscopy, tomography, PIV/PTV, digital volume/image correlation, and various space-time reconstruction methods. For each modality, the course will analyze the underlying image formation process as well as state-of-the -art reconstruction algorithms. Finally, the course will touch on high level tasks such as segmentation and detection.
